CRM software and cloud computing solutions giant Salesforce lead the way for innovation in their industry. They continuously develop their products and invest in emerging technologies before anyone else and they’ve been as active as ever these last couple of months. Here’s the latest Salesforce news you need to know:

Salesforce acquires Rebel

Salesforce acquired Rebel last month in a deal worth several million.

Rebel is an interactive email services start-up. Their interactive email product will join Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud operation which will integrate Rebel’s API. Rebel turns emails into an extension of a company’s web app. This enables companies to collect more data and offer additional services. Marketing and Commerce Cloud is Salesforce’s smallest division, so this acquisition shows intent to grow their reach in that area.

Salesforce announces Einstein Voice

Salesforce has announced a new AI-driven voice bot called Einstein Voice.

Einstein Voice promises to usher in a new era of conversational CRM. The first product, called Einstein Voice Assistant, enables conversational updates to Salesforce. As you verbally dictate a memo, Einstein Voice transcribes it and shares it with natural language programming to determine what types of update you need. Einstein can create tasks and understand terms like “next month”. In the future, any user will be able to talk to Salesforce.

Salesforce and Apple team up to bring CRM to iOS

Salesforce and Apple have partnered to bring exclusive CRM features to iOS.

This collaboration will see Salesforce redesign its app for iOS and bring forward a suite of exclusive features. The redesign of the Salesforce Mobile App will deliver a better user experience than ever before with unique Apple capabilities such as Siri Shortcuts, Face ID and Business Chat. Apple and Salesforce are also developing the first Salesforce Mobile SDK using Swift, Apple’s programming language for macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS.
