{"id":16340,"date":"2026-10-27T09:29:46","date_gmt":"2026-10-27T09:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.x4-technology.com\/job\/drupal-developer\/"},"modified":"2026-10-27T09:29:46","modified_gmt":"2026-10-27T09:29:46","slug":"drupal-developer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.x4-technology.com\/us\/job\/drupal-developer\/","title":{"rendered":"Drupal Developer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Drupal Developer | Public Sector \/ Government | Outside IR35<\/p>\n<p>Rate: &pound;350-&pound;375 per day<\/p>\n<p>Location: UK Remote<\/p>\n<p>Contract: Initial 2 years, with potential to extend by a further 2 years<\/p>\n<p>Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Security Clearance: BPSS baseline; SC clearance required only for specific assignments<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Drupal Developer to support a public sector \/ government client in maintaining and enhancing an established public-facing digital platform.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is a hands-on contract combining Drupal development, live service support, security maintenance and accessibility improvements. You will work alongside UX, user research, content and accessibility specialists to improve the user experience while ensuring the existing platform remains secure, stable and reliable.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and enhance an existing Drupal CMS, including custom modules, themes, templates and front-end functionality<\/li>\n<li>Manage Drupal core and contributed module updates, security patches, dependency checks and controlled releases<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot production issues, investigate incidents and implement preventative measures<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain accessible, maintainable code using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript<\/li>\n<li>Support WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, identifying and resolving accessibility issues across navigation, forms, templates and published content<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain REST APIs and third-party integrations, including authentication, error handling and monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Manage version control, code reviews, automated testing and CI\/CD processes using Git and modern development practices<\/li>\n<li>Monitor website performance, availability, response times, errors and security patching<\/li>\n<li>Maintain backup, restoration, disaster recovery and operational documentation<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with UX designers, user researchers and content specialists to translate user feedback into prioritised technical improvements<\/li>\n<li>Support user acceptance testing, knowledge transfer and technical documentation<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical estimates, manage dependencies and communicate delivery progress, risks and resource<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"London","_application":"b.dix.047772260.0@applybe.com","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job_listing_region":[711],"job-types":[43],"class_list":["post-16340","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry","job_listing_region-remote-united-kingdom","job_listing_type-contract","job_listing_sector-technology","job-type-contract"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.0 (Yoast SEO v28.4) -
