Juniper Firewall Specialist (Contract) – Edinburgh, UK (Onsite)<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are seeking an experienced Juniper Firewall Specialist<\/strong> for a one-week onsite consultancy engagement in Edinburgh on behalf of our consultancy client. The successful candidate will lead the installation, configuration, migration, testing, and handover of Juniper SRX firewalls within a production environment.<\/p>\n

  • One-week onsite consultancy assignment<\/li>\n

  • Outside IR35<\/li>\n
  • Immediate start preferred<\/li>\n
  • Working through a consultancy client<\/li>\n
  • Competitive day rate based on experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Install and configure Juniper SRX2300 and SRX300 firewalls.<\/li>\n
    • Perform firewall migration from existing infrastructure to new Juniper platforms.<\/li>\n
    • Configure security policies, NAT, VPNs, routing, and security services as required.<\/li>\n
    • Execute testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.<\/li>\n
    • Support implementation and cutover activities.<\/li>\n
    • Produce documentation and handover materials.<\/li>\n
    • Liaise with client stakeholders and technical teams throughout the engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Required Skills & Experience<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper SRX Series firewalls, specifically SRX2300 and SRX300.<\/li>\n
      • Excellent knowledge of Junos OS.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with security policies, NAT, IPsec VPNs, and routing protocols.<\/li>\n
      • Proven track record delivering firewall deployments and migrations in enterprise environments.<\/li>\n
      • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.<\/li>\n
      • Ability to work independently onsite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Desirable<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC, or equivalent Juniper certifications.<\/li>\n
